2019 Linda Thompson Memorial Scholarships Awarded

The Linda Thompson Memorial Scholarship (LTMS) Committee would like to congratulate its 2019 scholarship winners!   Two scholarships were awarded this year:  one from the United States and one from Russia.   Both students will be participating in the 2019 ADMEI Annual Conference in Houston.  These impressive students stood out in a field of 15 competitive candidates.  ADMEI extends its heartfelt congratulations to these fine young women pursuing careers in the Destination Management industry!


Ekaterina Antonova

St. Petersburg State University of Economics

Ekaterina Antonova is this year’s international winner. A sophomore at The St. Petersburg State University of Economics, Ekaterina is pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism Management. She has served as an intern with Tsar Events Russia, a Hosts Global Member, which evolved into several part-time positions with the DMC. Her native language is Russian, but she is also fluent in English and worked as an operation manager’s assistant for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.



Hannah Patterson

University of Central Florida

This year’s North American winner is Hannah Patterson, sophomore at University of Central Florida. Hannah is majoring in Hospitality Management with a minor in Human Services and Leadership. She has a 4.0 GPA and has served as an intern for 360 Destination Group. She is a member of the UCF Student Government Leadership Council and the UCF Lead Scholars Academy Philanthropy Committee.


The Linda Thompson Memorial Scholarship honors Linda Thompson, who was a vital part of the Destination Management Company (DMC) profession and event industry. She was an owner of Cappa and Graham, Inc. in San Francisco, CA and a vital part of the DMC Network. Linda dedicated herself to mentoring young professionals and raising the level of excellence in the DMC industry.
